This movie is absolutely ridiculous and the creators know that. 90 minutes is the perfect runtime for a movie like this. I’ve watched a lot of movies recently that have dragged but this one didn’t. Another thing about this movie that I liked was it didn’t overstay it’s welcome. Can’t really say it’s a good plot but again I really fucking like it. This movies plot is so fucking weird but I really like it. The setting of this film is perfect for what they’re going for. The movie goes from intriguing to really interesting the moment Darry goes down the pipe. The effects are also pretty decent especially for a movie that came out 21 years ago. Some really good camera angles throughout the film. The directing in this film was pretty decent as well. I found myself liking him more and more as the movie went on. Also, the character of Darry was written very well. As tired as he was, Long rested his head against The Creeper's shoulder, to which a "slightly twangy" voice said from the mask, "You doing alright?" Long admits he didn't answer, though he isn't sure why.The two main actors in this film were very good. Instead of walking away to maintain his distance from The Creeper, Long chose to stay in position. For the scene, Long was supposed to be terrified, but he was really just worn out after hours of screaming at the top of his lungs as The Creeper held him in a near-chokehold. Therefore, several extra takes were required to get the movie wrapped up. The wings on The Creeper's face weren't working properly. But the now-43-year-old admits that being "out of character" with The Creeper happened due to a malfunction on the last day of filming. I probably saw it for the first time when I was around 15 years old. While I obviously don't approve of his actions, I think the movie itself is very solid.
I know there is a lot of controversy surrounding these films because of the director being a convicted child molestor. According to Long's Instagram post, he hoped, "It'd be beneficial to all our performances." In the end, he isn't sure it truly helped their performances. Jeepers Creepers (2001) is a Great Horror Movie.
